Something strange is happening with this Notts team. The second half data suggests Swindon should have bagged all 3 points but somehow, Notts managed to not only take an unexpected lead but defended it in a manner we are not used to seeing of late.
An xG of just 0.38 for Notts is almost unheard of these days so no surprise it was two pieces of pure quality that won through in the end. Amazingly McGoldrick's second goal on 80 minutes was Notts' first shot on goal for 50 minutes, the previous shot being the forwards first goal.
The data stinks, the result doesn't and just shy of 900 travelling Magpies will have left Wiltshire in highest of high spirits.
