Despite the satisfaction of extending their unbeaten run in the league to 4 games Notts were rocked by the loss of Cedwyn Scott who limped off shortly after taking the pitch as a substitute in the 2-1 win over Tranmere at Meadow Lane on Saturday.
Speaking in today's press conference Luke Williams lamented the loss of Scott for the foreseeable future stating "I've lost Cedwyn from the team and that's a huge blow in itself".
With Scott out of action an opportunity arises for Junior Morias to finally stake a claim and play a more regular role in the match day squad, and Williams was quite bullish about the role the ex Dagenham & Redbridge forward could play. "He (Morias) naturally comes into the squad and is a player we think a huge amount of and we're delighted to have him with us".
"We have to remember that we do have players in the club that are desperate to perform for us and are completely invested as well".
The Magpies have another big League Two game at Meadow Lane this weekend with Accrington Stanley the visitors and looking ahead to this encounter Williams was clear that he was expecting another tough challenge."I've been against Accy in League One and they were absolutely brilliant".
"Watching them now I can see that they've retained the same attitude and principles in how they go about their business so I've got some insight into how tough that is going to be and I need to pass that knowledge onto the players and prepare them correctly".
Notts face Accrington Stanley in League Two at Meadow Lane this Saturday 2nd September at 3.00pm.
