I was always led to believe you make your own luck in this life and that's exactly what happened for Elisha Sam who rewarded for his endeavour after his determined run down the left flank saw his far post cross drift majestically into the back of the Weymouth net.

Sam's goal along with the other Sam, Slocombe doing his level best to keep the clean sheets coming ensured Notts made the long trip back with another much needed three points in the bag.

Key match stats:

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I was working on saturday and as it stands I am yet to receive any of the usual match stats as it appears Covid restrictions and Weymouth's remote Dorset location means the stats companies just haven't got around to tracking and producing the data for this game.

If anyone knows of a site where this is now available please let me know, I will be eternally grateful. If I find the data or have the time to work it out from highlight reels and reports etc I will update accordingly.

Progress updated and the 3 points sees Notts up to 5th place, which is the same position they were in after the same number of games last season just prior to a dip in form in that started with the loss at home to Barrow.

Results tracker updated and it was nice to post an away win for the first time in a while.

Points needed and another 3 points raises the PPG to 1.760 which would see a return of just over 77 points for 44 games meaning Notts could be good for a top 3 finish based on previous seasons.

League segment chart updated. Grey bar shows total points available for that segment. Green bar shows total points gained and yellow bar the PPG for that segment.

Points by time segment. How many points would have been accummulated if games had finished at 15, 30, 45, 60, 75 and 90 minutes.

Onto player stats now and remember you can use the search function to see individual players or click on a column heading to sort highest to lowest etc.

Goal contribution table updated.

Goal participation by minute detailing player goal contribution efficiency.

Sam's deft lob was the 23rd of 27 goals this season scored inside the penalty area.

Goals by time segment updated:

Neal Ardley's record updated:

With the games now coming thick and fast (and hopefully continuing to do so), I am finding it harder to collate and publish data and visuals for both match reports and previews in a timeley manner.

I'm really keen to do more with some of the data I'm now receiving but I don't receive much of it until at least a couple of days after a game which is proving problematic.

With this in mind I'm thinking of doing a weekly stats update that provides both post and pre match stats info and data in one article. I would really appreciate any thoughts or feedback on this as it's important whatever we do moving forward continues to add value to everyone.

I'll be back with the Bromley preview, hopefully before kick off!!

COYP!
