Luke Pilling aside Neal Ardley stuck with the same players that impressed so much in the Dagenham game, however the performance didn't quite live up to expectations and it took a wonder strike from Jake Reeves to secure a scrappy but dogged 3 points for the Magpies.
Kings Lynn had chances of their own and Notts will be grateful of a great save from stand in Keeper Luke Pilling and some poor finishing from the Linnets front line.
Key match stats and despite the under par performance it seems Notts still had the edge over the hosts.
Progress updated and the 3 points sees Notts move into 3rd place on 36 points 8 points behind league leaders Torquay with 3 games in hand.
Results tracker updated:
Points needed and another 3 points raises the PPG to 1.895 which would see a return of just over 83 points for 44 games. Based on previous seasons this would be enough to put you right in the mix for a title challenge. The predicted line below is behind the target line for first place. Click on the filters at the top of the graph to add/remove target lines.
League segment chart updated. Grey bar shows total points available for that segment. Green bar shows total points gained and yellow bar the PPG for that segment.
Just the one game so far in this match segment and the win means 3 points and 3PPG.
Points by time segment. How many points would have been accummulated if games had finished at 15, 30, 45, 60, 75 and 90 minutes.
This would suggest Notts are rarely behind in games and tend to get stronger as the game progresses although there is a slight dip at the 75 minute mark.
Onto player stats now and remember you can use the search function to see individual players or click on a column heading to sort highest to lowest etc.
Goal contribution table updated.
Goal participation by minute detailing player goal contribution efficiency.
Jake Reeves' swazzy effort was only the 6th goal this season to be scored from outside the box.
Goals by time segment updated and for some reason Notts are yet to score a goal in the middle 15 minutes of the second half, equally they are yet to concede a goal in the first 15 minutes after the break.
Neal Ardley's record updated:
At home again on Saturday so if nothing else we can count on a decent stream for our £12.
Chesterfield are not to be taken lightly and have suddenly hit a decent bit of form but more on that in the match preview along including the xG data for the Kings Lynn game which I'm expecting to provide usd with a few interesting talking points.
As always thanks for reading and fingers crossed the recent good form continues.
