Notts County 1 - 0 Bromley FC

4' Thomas Cheek 50'

70' Rawlinson

A hard fought victory for the home team sees The Magpies up to 5th place in the league on 46 points and Connell Rawlinson quite rightly taking the plaudits as man of the match.

The match stats themselves don't really give justice to what was a fiercely contested encounter. Bromley had the lions share of chances whilst Notts just shaded it on possession.

Notts PPG is now just under 1.59 for the season meaning we would finsh just shy of 73 points if that continued for the rest of the season. This has been bolstered somewhat by the results over the festive season that saw a return of 2.4 points per game.

Notts now within touching distance of the 75 point target set by ourselves which should see a play off spot secured, however 7th place is currently predicted at 71 points.

Season progress continues on an upward trajectory with our season average position now slightly better than 12th place. If we took the last 15 games that average would be closer to 8th place so there is definitely an argument that suggests form has improved during that period compared to season start.

Up to 3rd in the last 6 form table.

It's getting tight at the top but there is a gap opening up slightly now with the top ten looking like they will be contesting the promotion and play off places.

Barrow appear to be untouchable at the moment and with games in hand you would have to say they are now firm favourites for the one automatic spot leaving nine or ten teams to scrap it out for the remaining 6 places.

A break from the league next week as we take on Dagenham & Redbridge in the FA Trophy.
