A bad day at the office would be an understatement. Neal Ardley remained loyal to the squad that served him so well for the Barnet game, unfortunately his loyalty wasn't rewarded as Harrogate eased to victory over a very out of sorts Notts County.

There will be plenty a postmortem from a Notts perspective but praise and congratulations should be offered to Simon Weaver and his players for a thoroughly deserved win.

On to the analysis and key stats for the match really do tell their own story and probably flatter the Magpies:

Including the two play off games Notts have played 40 NL matches, scored 64 goals and conceded 41 giving a goal difference of +23.

Notts scored 38 goals in the second half of games compared to 26 goals in the first half. Goals conceded have been fairly evenly spread across the 90 minutes suggesting there is no particular time segment where there is a higher risk of leaking goals.

Moving on to goal participation and Kyle Wootton (18 goals + 4 assists) and Kristian Dennis (16 goals + 6 assists) top the goal participation charts for all competitions.

Looking at goal participation efficiency Kristian Dennis remains the most efficient attacking player at the club being involved in a goal every 91 minutes. Callum Roberts' goal at Wembley on Sunday means he comes a close second, participating in a goal every 95 minutes.

Kyle Wootton holds on to top scorer with 18 goals in all competitions scoring every 2.15 games. Kristian Dennis finishes second with 16 goals and remains the clubs most efficient goalscorer for the season with a goal every 1.39 games.

A quick mention also for Callum Roberts who has scored 5 goals in the last 5 games and finishes the second most efficient goal scorer finding the back of the net every 1.69 games.

Mitch Rose has pipped Enzio Boldewijn and Kyle Wootton to most minutes played in all competitions this season.

Minutes played updated below:

Neal Ardley finishes the season with a win percentage of just over 51% in all competitions for the season having won 24 of the 47 competitive matches played this season.

So we start to look ahead at another campaign in non league football, in whatever format that might take. I will be back with a detailed season review in the not too distance future but in the meantime thanks again for reading and please feel free to get involved with your comments below.
