On a day where Macaulay Langstaff finally found his scoring boots a large travelling Notts contingent saw the Magpies record their first away win of the League Two in confident style.

It was a cagey opening few minutes as Doncaster looked to try and press Notts but it didn't take long for Luke Williams' men to find their rhythm and get a grip of the game.

David McGoldrick had first sight of goal on 7 minutes, pulling a right footed shot from outside the box wide left. And it was McGoldrick who was the first of 3 Notts players to go into the match officials book in 5 minutes.

Jodi Jones was next in the book two minutes later after a clumsy foul on Tom Nixon. As frustrations grew Bostock made it yellow card number three following a foul on Owen Bailey. However, if frustration was kicking in it didn't last for long as on 28 minutes a well worked free kick from Notts saw Macaulay Langstaff open his account for the campaign volleying in a John Bostock cross from close range.

Notts comfortably saw out the rest of the first half going into the break a goal to the good.

Doncaster boss Grant McCann rang the changes at half time, making three substitutions. However, the replacements didn't have any chance to make a difference for the home team as Langstaff headed in a Sam Austin cross just a minute into the second period.

And it was a third for Notts just 5 minutes later. A good run from Dan Crowley saw him find Jodi Jones who stepped in from the left side of the box before firing home with his right foot.

Luke Williams looked to make changes on 63 minutes with Jim O'Brien, Aaron Nemane and Cedwin Scott all entering the game. Unfortunately there was also a change at the back as Aden Baldwin appeared to be suffering and was withdrawn from the game with Connell Rawlinson stepping in.

The Magpies continued to control the game and came close to a fourth with Langstaff hitting the side netting from a tight angle.

Jodi Jones making way for Adam Chicksen on 75 minutes was the 5th change for the Magpies as they looked to see out the game.

There were chances for for both sides in the final moments and Luke Williams will not be happy with his players, allowing Doncaster to grab a consolation goal late into added time meaning the game finished Doncaster 1-3 Notts County.
