Ian Burchnall named an unchanged team in a game that wasn't without it's controversy and let's be honest, some very frustrating moments.
The visitors started the game well pressing high and causing Notts a few problems, but the home team managed to come to terms with the Halifax press and were just starting to get a grip on the game when an awkward moment for Viteszlav Jaros in the Notts goal saw Aaron Martin pounce on a fumbled ball and put the Shaymen ahead in the 17th minute. This was the visitors second and indeed last shot on goal in the game.
Notts pressed hard for the equaliser and were helped in their endeavours when left back Jack Senior saw red following a second bookable offence.
It was a revitalised Elisha Sam who finally got the equaliser with a stunning solo effort that saw him firing in from distance after a trademark burst in off the left flank.
The rest of the game saw Notts bombard a resilient Halifax rear guard who also have the woodwork and some outlandish work from Sam Johnson in goal to thank for an unexpected but well earned point.

Very similar to the stats recorded last time out against Eastleigh. Not sure I really need to explain too much here other than the stats very much concur with what happened on the pitch.
Points needed. Remember, these targets were set at the start of the season and based on average points needed over the last half a dozen season. It's beginning to look though that this season could be a bit of on outlier in this respect so when we get to 30 games I'll look to revise the targets for the season run in.

Onto expected goals and somehow Notts managed to record an absolutely whopping 4.03 xG. If you hadn't witnessed it for yourself you would really be scratching your head when comparing xG to the actual goals scored. Halifax scoring with just one of their two shots on goal.
