It was a case of "my team's more attacking than you're team" from the two managers/coaches last night and despite the spoils being shared, it was the hosts who came out on top in the stats.

If Notts fans weren't concerned when the starting 11 was announced alarm bells would have been ringing after Solihull went one up with a spot kick on 7 minutes.

However, Notts rallied and against the odds twice took the lead, but just couldn't do enough to secure all three points as 22 year old Moors winger Ryan Barnett somehow managed to convert a speculative half volley from 25 yards out to level the scores on 86 minutes.

Notts fans will be bemoaning the fact that Ian Burchnall's men couldn't hang on to what was a very tentative lead but when you look at the stats you do have to consider how the Magpies came away with a point, never mind all three.

Key match stats.

A quick look at the match stats above and it appeared to be a case of Neal Ardley doing an Ian Burchnall on Ian Burchnall!

Points needed and as it stands a top 7 finish looks a bit touch and go.

Player stats updated: Up until yesterday Matty Palmer hadn't missed a single minute of league football this season. Kyle Wootton now with the most appearances and minutes.

As usual this is the new table that is also available to view on the player stats page of the website here. There will also be separate tables for the two cup competitions.

Goal scatter charts updated.

Expected goals and clear to see how open and attacking the game was. Solihull clearly on top but the penalty skews the data a bit by adding 0.76 to their tally. That said they were still good value regardless.

Match xG stats: . . . Hmmm.

Player xG Stats:

Rawlinson's near post effort recorded Notts' biggest chance with 0.48 xG.

National League goal scorers includes cup games, penalties and own goals. Andy Dallas joins Kyle Wootton, Paul Mullin and Michael Cheek on 17 goals in all competitions after his brace for Solihull. Tshimanga still 8 goals ahead of the chasing pack.

Ian Burchnall's record updated after 57 games:

A break from the league on Friday night when Wrexham are the visitors in a Trophy QF. Hopefully this will provide a little respite for those players that were not available for the Solihull game as we then look ahead to two difficult away league fixtures at Stockport and Dagenham, but don't worry, we have two home games to follow those . . . Boreham Wood and Chesterfield . . . urgh!

As always thanks for reading.
